Family Dollar voluntarily recalled nearly 300 products due to improper storage. The products were stored outside of labeled temperature requirements and inadvertently shipped to stores in 23 states. The recall includes:
- Over-the-counter (OTC) medications, such as:
- Pain relievers
- Antacids
- Cold and flu aids
- Supplements
- Pregnancy tests
- Other products, such as:
- Toothpaste
- Mouthwash
- Eye drops
- Foot powder
- Laxatives
- Lip balms
- Vitamins
- Drink mixes
- Contact lens solutions
The recall affects stores in the following states:
Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Mexico.
Customers can return the products to Family Dollar without a receipt and receive a refund. The FDA says there have been no consumer complaints or reports of illnesses related to the recall.
